The Alberta Orff Chapter has been serving elementary music teachers in Edmonton and northern Alberta for over 40 years. We are a vibrant and exciting chapter with over 120 current members. Each year we host three workshops - fall, winter and spring. Our fall and winter workshops feature dynamic presenters from Alberta, Canada and the United States. Our spring workshops alternate between Sharing Day, featuring local music teachers, and Children’s Day, which is an Orff workshop for students and teachers. Recently, we have also presented a Taste of Orff for new music teachers, Make and Take and Stay and Play events.

On our website, www.albertaorff.ca you’ll find the latest information about upcoming events and additional information about our chapter. Our online boutique has many musical gifts and music manipulatives for your music classroom. The Judy Sills Library of Music is available online for all current members to borrow teacher resources. Follow us on social media for the latest updates: Facebook @AlbertaOrffChapter, Instagram @AlbertaOrff and Twitter @AlbertaOrff.

We have scholarships available for teacher professional development through U of A Levels courses (Chapter President’s Award), and other Orff conferences and workshops (Diane Shieron scholarship).
